We do not operate a private dog-gear lab. Rankings use PartnerBoost catalog SKUs, listing specs, and editor judgment for job fit. Care articles are educational — never a diagnosis or treatment plan.

What we publish

• Magazine desks — health, nutrition, training, breeds, Ask-a-Vet notes with clear “see a vet” boundaries.
• Job-scored rankings — harnesses, rest gear, chews, grooming tools scored for the job, not commission (How we rate).
• Fit tools — the fit checklist maps measurements to size bands and desks; merchant charts still win.

What we will not claim

• That we laboratory-tested a product unless we publish a dated test protocol.
• That a ranking replaces veterinary advice, training with a professional, or a product recall notice.
• That affiliate commission improves a score or badge.
• Exact “best for every dog” promises — individuals vary.

Sources & labels

Product names, images, and size cues come from merchant/catalog listings. Price lines are editorial snapshots with an as-of date. Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored" where applicable — see Disclosure.

Byline ownership

Published guides and rankings attach to an editor on Experts. If a page still shows the organization name only, it is awaiting expert assignment — not anonymous filler.
